Palmeiras was founded in August 1914, represented by the eight stars on the club's crest. According to the information gathered, ♨️ the eight stars make direct reference to the month of August, signifying the club's birthdate. Even though there are eight ♨️ stars, Palmeiras proudly displays a ninth red star on special occasions, symbolizing the Copa Rio de 1951 victory, considered the ♨️ first-ever club World Championship.
Once I found out about the significance of the eight stars to the fans of Palmeiras, these ♨️ eight stars began to feel more personal and meaningful. I had a burning desire to know how those stars impacted ♨️ the fan base and learn how the team interacted with their supporters. As the true essence of these stars stood ♨️ out, I grasped the need to not only celebrate their meaning but also utilize this symbol to strengthen fans' connections ♨️ with the club.
In an attempt to strengthen that bond between fan and team, I started the "Verde e Branco Stars" ♨️ program, aimed directly at Palmeiras' most devoted fans who display their passion and support furthest. Members are encouraged and given ♨️ access to special events and Palmeiras merchandise - star T-shirts, badges, and other exclusive memorabilia celebrating the club crest and ♨️ the eight stars.
Following the implementation of the program in June 2024, the number of passionate Palmeiras fans continued to swell ♨️ significantly, with many new "Verde e Branco Stars" participating. As a direct result of this uptick in dedicated participants, the ♨️ merchandise sales jumped, leading to higher Palmeiras profits. More impressive than the funds generated was the formation of a stronger ♨️ collective identity rooted in the club's proud history and tradition.
Throughout my analysis, I realized that harnessing the psychological impact of ♨️ these symbols in both understanding and relating to human cognitive processing improved my project's outcomes beyond expectations. Leveraging the power ♨️ of empathic designs enabled and enhanced the connection between fans with their affection and dedication towards the club.
